Disc Golf: Round One

Alrighty, this series is motivation for me to improve my disc golf game. Every time i go to Reedy Creek Park i will attempt to keep track of and better my score. So here goes Round One:

Keep in mind all holes are a Par 3:

Hole 1: +2 Hole 2: +1 Hole 3: +3 Hole 4: +3 Hole 5: +3 Hole 6: +4 Hole 7: +1 Hole 8: +1 Hole 9: +3 Hole 10: +4 Hole 11: +2 Hole 12: +1 Hole 13: +2 Hole 14: +1 Hole 15: +4 Hole 16: +2 Hole 17: +2 Hole 18: +4

Total Over Par: 43

In other words, i suck. Or let's be postive: i have much room for improvement. i just bought three super cheap discs to muck about with, a bright green lightweight putter that i suck monkey balls with, a dull blue leopard that one out of five throws gives me the hint of distance it promised (given the trees stop jumping in the way), and a white shark that i really like. i only throw with sharp right curviture, but maybe one day i'll get the things to bend right.

On the upside, i went after work all by myself, and it was very nice to walk about getting eaten by mosquitos and enjoy the scenery and my suckage in peace. At around Hole 14, i got to join a group of real disc golfers and they pleasantly pretended not to notice how badly i sucked at the game, even sharing one of their ice cold beverages that was quite welcome what with all the heat in the dead of summer. wahoo! there was even a dirty slobbering dog to pat, all around an ideal park visit.

Now that the scoring bar is set low, let's all keep our fingers crossed it will be raised over the rest of the season.

Be the disc.

So glad to see you picked up one of my bad habits.

P.S. DAMN THOSE TREES!
